Mónica M Cortés, MPA has over 18 years of experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Mónica M began their career in 1996 as an Operations Manager at Cortes Industrial Organization. In 2008, they became the Director of Operations at the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI). In 2011, they were a MPA Candidate Class of 2012 at the National Urban Fellows. From 2012 to 2013, they were an Account Manager at d exposito & Partners. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Diversity & Inclusion Senior Adviser and Interim VP Multicultural Markets & Engagement at AARP. From 2017 to 2018, they were the Senior Vice President of Strategy Development at Comunicad. Lastly, since 2018, they have been the Founder and Certified Life Coach at Cortes Coaching, LLC and a Realtor at Compass.
Mónica M Cortés, MPA received their MPA from Baruch College's School of Public Affairs in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in Anthropology and Puerto Rican Studies from Hunter College in 2008. In 2018, they obtained a Certified Fearless Living Coach (CFLC) certification from the Fearless Living Institute.
