Ben Davey

Ben Davey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law and finance. Starting as a Chancery Barrister at Chambers of Timothy Lloyd QC, Ben specialized in trusts, insolvency, real estate, and banking law. Ben then transitioned to investment banking at Rothschild & Co, serving as Managing Director and Co-Head of UK Financial Institutions, before joining Barclays. At Barclays, Ben held various leadership roles, including Group Head of Strategy, Chief Strategy Officer for Barclays Investment Bank, and Head of Financial Institutions Group for EMEA. Ben is also the CEO and Founder of Barclays Ventures, focusing on innovation and new business opportunities. Currently, Ben holds several positions, including Chief Investment Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Azerion, Non-Executive Chairman at Medi2Data, and Independent Non-Executive Director at PayPal UK, while also contributing to the University of Oxford and Conception X as an advisory board member. Additionally, Ben has been involved in investing and advising a portfolio of companies.
