Yuri Starodubtsev

Associate Director – Software Development at Concepts NREC

Yuri Starodubtsev began their work experience as a Researcher/Associate professor at the National Automobile & Highway University in 1999. During their time there, they conducted multiple CFD/FEA research projects, published research papers, and developed in-house parallel CFD/FEA software. Yuri also delivered lectures on Mechanics and Hydraulics.

In 2007, Yuri joined GE Power & Water as an Aerodynamics Engineer. Yuri supported various programs by performing aerodynamic analyses and coordinating work schedules with design teams. Yuri also conducted aeromechanic design and analyses of steam turbine components.

In 2012, Yuri worked at BuildIT Software and Solutions as a Software Developer, where they developed modern 3D Metrology Software and improved legacy code.

From 2014 to 2016, they were employed by Gameloft as a Software Developer.

Currently, Yuri is working at Concepts NREC, where they started as a Software Engineering Consultant in 2016. Yuri then became a Senior Software Engineer before being promoted to Associate Director – Software Development in 2022.

Yuri Starodubtsev completed their Master's degree in CAD/CAM/CAE of aircraft engines from the National Aerospace University between 1992 and 1998. Yuri later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Turbomachinery (turbo-machines and turbo-units) from the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute' from 2001 to 2005.
