Andy Guerrero, MHC-LP, currently serves as a Mental Health Counselor at Family Service League on Long Island, providing individual and group therapy in both Spanish and English. Since November 2020, Andy has been involved with Concern Housing, supporting the SPMI population and coordinating mental health counseling services. Concurrently, Andy holds the position of Clinical Research Coordinator at Stony Brook Medicine, focusing on a study related to Circadian Rhythms and Major Depressive Disorder. Previous experiences include a variety of roles at the University at Buffalo, including Student Assistant and Community Assistant, as well as internships at BestSelf Behavioral Health and a behavioral health assistant role at Horizon Health Services. Andy holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and is pursuing a Certificate in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling, building upon earlier educational achievements in Psychology and Liberal Arts. Theoretical orientations include CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
