Alison Heron

Alison Heron is a Global Partnership Advisor at Concern Worldwide since January 2023, focusing on innovative partnership approaches and supporting country offices in equitable and localized processes. Previously, as the Head of Programmes for the Syria Response and Gender Programme Manager at Trócaire, Alison worked on gender issues and women’s empowerment across Myanmar. Earlier experience includes roles as Programme Development & Advocacy Officer, Myanmar Campaign Associate at EarthRights International, and Human Rights Education and Training Officer at Amnesty International. Alison holds an LL.M in International Human Rights Law from the University of Galway and an International Bachelor of Arts in Legal Science and Italian from the National University of Galway, with additional studies at the Università di Bologna.
