Emily Bean

Emily is an experienced microbiologist with expertise in molecular biology and microbial genetics. At Concerto, she is working to discover and develop new microbial ensembles. During her PhD work (Microbiology, MIT), Emily studied bacterial mobile genetic elements, focusing on how they can be engineered to improve their utility as genetic tools.
