Doug Shaw

AHA Special Advisor at Concord Health Partners

Doug Shaw is a senior executive in healthcare analytics & business development with thirty years’ experience working with healthcare providers, payers, plan sponsors, and manufacturers.

He currently serves as senior vice president of business development for the American Hospital Association to sustain its mission through strong commercial operations, business partnerships, and financial ventures. Doug is responsible for enterprise business planning and improvement and for identifying and pursuing, within the AHA and with other organizations, growth opportunities that are profitable, productive, and strategically aligned.

Previously, Doug served as senior vice president of field engagement responsible for organizational and professional membership, and as chief operating & development officer of Health Forum, AHA’s for profit subsidiary.

Before joining the American Hospital Association, Doug was vice president and general manager of the analytics business within McKesson Technology Solutions, senior vice president and general manager at Truven Health Analytics, and prior to Truven, worked at Aetna and Dun & Bradstreet in healthcare informatics roles.

He received his BA in mathematics and equivalent BA in English literature from the University of Chicago and his MBA from the New York Institute of Technology Ellis School of Business
