Simeon Velinov

Simeon Velinov, PMP®, eMBA has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to project management. Simeon Velinov, is currently working as the Global Operating Director at Concord since October 2023. In this role, they are responsible for the overall project management function of the company, including defining the PMO strategy, implementing project management methodologies, managing interdependencies, and coordinating across projects.

Before joining Concord, Simeon worked as the Head of Project Management Office (PMO) at the same company from August 2020 to September 2023. In this position, they provided leadership and integration of PMO processes and functions. Simeon Velinov, also played a key role in managing project deliverables, risks, and issues, as well as fostering collaborative relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders.

Prior to their role at Concord, Simeon served as the Director at Large for Professional Development at PMI Bulgaria Chapter since October 2017. Simeon Velinov, was responsible for overseeing professional development initiatives and programs.

Simeon has also worked at HyperAspect as the Head of Project Management Office from November 2019 to August 2020. Additionally, they worked as a Program/Project Manager at the same company from July 2019 to November 2019.

In their earlier career, Simeon gained experience as a Scrum Master and a Program/Project Manager at Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria from February 2017 to June 2019.

Furthermore, Simeon worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they served as a Customer Project Manager from August 2011 to January 2017. In this role, they were responsible for delivering IT customer projects and following the PMI standard methodology.

Before joining Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Simeon worked as a Product Service Manager/Project Manager at HP from June 2007 to July 2011.

Simeon Velinov, began their career at Bulgarian Telecommunication Company as a Provisioning employee from October 2005 to June 2007.

Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Public Administration from the Technical University of Sofia from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their degrees, Simeon has obtained various certifications, including Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in 2018, and Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in 2014. Simeon Velinov, is also a Lean SixSigma Mentor/Coach certified by Hewlett-Packard in 2014. Simeon holds several other certifications, including Green Belt, ITIL v3, ISO 22301 Lead auditor, ISO 27001:2022 Lead Auditor, and ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
