Elizabeth Pittman

Director, Public Relations at Concordia Publishing House

Elizabeth Pittman has extensive work experience in various roles in the field of public relations, starting in 1996 as a Clerk for Hon. John M. Shimkus. Elizabeth then worked as a Communications Director for the Office of Congressman Tom Ewing from 2000 to 2001. From 2001 to 2002, they were the Deputy Press Secretary for the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture. Elizabeth served as a Professional Staff and Counsel for the Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy, and Human Resources of the US House of Representatives from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, they joined Russ Reid Company as an Account Director until 2011. Since then, they have been working at Concordia Publishing House, first as a Manager, Gift Development from 2011 to 2013, then as a Senior Manager, Public Relations & Concordia Gospel Outreach from 2018 to 2022, and currently as the Director of Public Relations.

Elizabeth Pittman obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English from Valparaiso University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Elizabeth then pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law, spanning from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Elizabeth Pittman has acquired several certifications. These include "Human-Centered Leadership" and "Organizational Culture" obtained from LinkedIn in April 2021. Elizabeth also obtained the certification in "Leading with Values" from LinkedIn in December 2019. In the same year, they obtained certifications in "Creating a Culture of Change," "Handling Workplace Bullying," and "People Analytics," all from LinkedIn in November 2019.
