Clara Marshall

Clara Marshall has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Clara started their career in 2009 as a Community Development Volunteer at Global Volunteer Network. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Kansas State University, where they were involved in editing and formatting journal articles, pilot testing survey instruments, developing materials for a graduate course, researching projects and grants, developing instrumentation, analyzing data, and writing reports. In 2011, Clara briefly worked as a Research and Development Intern at Hennessy Research Associates. In 2012, they had an internship as a Health Education Intern at Johnson County Department of Health & Environment. From 2013 to 2015, Clara served as an Epidemiology Research Fellow at Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch, and concurrently as a Community Health Intern at Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department. In 2015, they joined Concurrent Technologies Corporation as a Data Analyst, where they currently hold a position.

Clara Marshall has a strong educational background in the field of public health. Clara obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Infectious Diseases/Zoonoses from Kansas State University, where they attended from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Science (AS) degree in Life Sciences from the same university from 2009 to 2011.

Before their time at Kansas State University, Clara Marshall pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from the University of Southern California. Clara attended USC from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Clara Marshall has acquired various certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Clara received certifications in Global Health Security Strategies from USUHS in February 2014, Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100 from FEMA in February 2013, Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) from FEMA in February 2013, Health Literacy for Public Health Professionals from CDC in January 2013, Communicate to Make a Difference: Exploring Cross Cultural Communication from Empire Public Health Training Center and New York-New Jersey Public Health Training Center in November 2012, CPR/AED - Adult and Pediatric CPR from the American Red Cross in March 2013, and Standard First Aid, also from the American Red Cross, in March 2013.
