Daniel Mahoney has a diverse work experience starting in 2014 as an Outreach and Education Intern at the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection. In 2015, they held intern positions at the Alliance to Save Energy and APCO Worldwide. Daniel later joined the School of International Service Advising Office as a Peer Advisor and worked there until 2016. Additionally, in 2016, Daniel interned at HBSI in the Public Affairs and Crisis Practice role. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at BCW Global in various positions, including Assistant Account Executive, Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, and Account Supervisor. In 2022, Daniel became a Climate Fellow at the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection. Currently, they are working as an Associate Energy Policy Analyst at Concurrent Technologies Corporation.

Daniel Mahoney earned a high school diploma from Thomas S. Wootton High School in 2012. Daniel pursued higher education at American University and graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies. Currently, they are enrolled at Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy, where they are expected to complete their Master of Public Policy degree between 2021 and 2023.
