Kyongseon West has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career in 2002 as a Network/Systems Administrator at Education Service Center Region 15, where they provided WAN support, managed Cisco routers and switches, and provided technical support for district technology coordinators. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at DODDS Osan.
In 2008, Kyongseon joined USAFE DSR as the Deputy Chief, DSR/Visual Information Specialist, where they were responsible for providing secure VTC and communication support for HQ USAFE Commander and Vice Commander, managing communication equipment, and performing equipment maintenance and support for conference rooms.
From 2009 to 2014, they worked at Alion Science and Technology as a Program Manager/Systems Engineer, providing support for modeling and simulations, assisting IA managers on C&A process, and conducting research and testing to ensure compliance with DISA IA requirements.
In 2014, Kyongseon joined Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a Systems Analyst, where they worked until 2018. During this time, they also served as a Senior Security Analyst, maintaining and updating IT security policies and procedures, performing security risk analysis, and ensuring compliance with NIST & CIS standards.
Currently, Kyongseon is working as a Network Engineer at Concurrent Technologies Corporation, starting in 2021.
Kyongseon West has pursued a strong academic and professional path in the field of information technology. In 1998, they attended Anne Arundel Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Early Childhood Education.
