Catharine Fortney

Catharine E. Fortney serves as chief compliance and privacy officer for Cone Health and Triad HealthCare Network. As such, she is responsible for leading the privacy and audit programs that support and enhance a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organization. Fortney and her team, work as an internal resource guiding and supporting the organization in doing what is right for patients and the community.

Fortney has extensive experience in a variety of health care areas. She came to Cone Health from Denver Health, in Denver, Colorado, where she served as chief compliance and audit officer.

Fortney earned her Master of Science in Health Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver; and her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.

Fortney is certified in Healthcare Compliance and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
