Karen Resh

Chief Nursing Officer & VP, Patient Care Services, Alamance Regional Medical Center at Cone Health

Karen Resh, DNP, MBA, serves as chief nursing officer and vice president, patient care services at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Resh joined Alamance Regional in 2022. As chief nursing officer she will set the tone for the more than 500 nurses working at Alamance Regional.

Resh came to Alamance Regional from Wesley Long Hospital where she was the executive director of nursing and patient care services. She joined Cone Health in 2009 and served in various leadership positions including leading the emergency department at Cone Health MedCenter High Point.

Resh earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from American Sentinel University (now American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University.) She holds Master of Business Administration and Master Health Administration degrees from Pfeiffer University. Resh earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri.

Resh was named a North Carolina Great 100 nurse in 1998. She is a graduate of the Executive Nurse Leadership Academy and is certified in executive nurse practice.

Resh is a member of Community Bible Church and a former board president of the YWCA of greater High Point.
