Chris Woodley

Manager, Collections Access Education at Conestoga College

Chris Woodley has extensive experience in the library field, primarily at Conestoga College. From 2008 to 2015, Chris held several roles within the college's library, including Program Liaison for various programs related to business, hospitality, media, and design. In this role, Chris developed instructional workshops and created instructional support materials to enhance students' information management and research skills. Additionally, Chris served as the Manager of Information Literacy & Resources, as well as the Information Literacy / E-Resource Consultant through secondments during different periods. In 2015, Chris became the Manager of Collections, Access & Education at Conestoga College, where responsibilities include maintaining the library's discovery system, overseeing the Library Service Platform, and leading digital library initiatives. Additionally, Chris plans and evaluates the Library's instructional programming in areas such as information and digital literacy skills.

Chris Woodley has a diverse education history. From 2000 to 2004, they attended the University of Waterloo and earned a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a focus in Geography. Following this, from 2005 to 2006, Chris pursued further education at Western University and obtained a Bachelor of Education degree. Then, from 2006 to 2008, they continued their education at Western University, where they earned a Master of Library and Information Science with a specialization in Academic Librarianship.

Additionally, Chris has obtained a certification in "OneDrive Quick Tips" from LinkedIn in November 2022.
