Marianne Downs

Marianne Downs has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Marianne currently serves as a Work-Integrated Learning Support Officer at Conestoga College. Prior to this, they held the role of Product Analyst (Work Placement) at TAMVOES in 2022. Marianne also worked as a Human Resources Assistant at Conestoga Meats from 2021 to 2022, and as a Database Analyst at Conestoga College Work-Integrated Learning Services from 2021 to 2021. Before that, they were a Human Resources Intake Assistant at Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd from 2020 to 2021. Marianne gained experience as a Work Placement Student at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in 2020, and as a Breakfast Attendant at Holiday Inn Express from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, they worked at Chartwell Retirement Residences as a Dietary Aide and Hostess from 2017 to 2019. Marianne's earlier roles include working as a Production Worker at Global Egg Corporation/EggSolutions from 2015 to 2017. Marianne also has a significant tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they held various positions such as Loan Administration – Manila Credit Operations Team Lead from 2010 to 2012, Manila Credit Operations – Credit Research Specialist from 2008 to 2010, and Credit Research Specialist/Customer Care Professional, Mortgage Servicing from 2006 to 2008. Marianne has demonstrated skills in team management, training, customer service, and administrative tasks throughout their career.

Marianne Downs has a diverse education history. From 2020 to 2022, they attended Conestoga College and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Health Information Science degree in Health Information Management. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2020, they also attended Conestoga College and earned a Health Office Administration Diploma in Health/Health Care Administration/Management.

Earlier in their educational journey, from 2000 to 2004, Marianne attended the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Marianne has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they received certifications in Excel Business Intelligence from LinkedIn, specifically in Power Pivot and DAX, Data Modeling 101, and Power Query. In 2021, they also obtained the iWay Data Migrator Essentials certification from Information Builders.

Prior to these, Marianne received the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulations certification from AccessForward in 2020 and the Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certification from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development in the same year. In 2019, they obtained certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the Canadian Red Cross and SafeTALK from LivingWorks. In 2017, they achieved the Smart Serve Certification from Smart Serve Ontario and the Food Handler Certification from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Additionally, in 2019, they received the Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C certification from the Canadian Red Cross.
