Benjamin Taylor

Benjamin Taylor has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Benjamin started their career at American Airlines as an Internal Auditor/Strategic Project Coordinator/LBB GM, where they had the opportunity to see business and regulations work hand in hand and help the business meet the regulatory requirements through their role in Audit. Benjamin also worked on projects such as the introduction of baggage scanning into operations. In 2012, they moved to Lubbock Independent School District as a 6th and 7th grade Social Studies Teacher, where they taught world cultures and Texas History. In 2014, they took up the role of Assistant Principal High School at Brownfield Consolidated Independent School District, where they were responsible for ensuring students were in an environment conducive to learning. In 2015, they became the Secondary Principal at Plains Independent School District, where they were responsible for ensuring teachers and students had the resources necessary to facilitate learning on a daily basis. Since 2017, they have been working at CoNetrix as a Training Manager/Audit and Security Consultant, Information Security and Compliance Consultant, and Audit and Security Consultant.

Benjamin Taylor has an extensive educational background. Benjamin obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Texas Tech University between 2005 and 2006. Benjamin also earned a Bachelor's Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business between 1994 and 1998. Taylor has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2019, Cybersecurity Fundamentals from ISACA in January 2018, CISA from ISACA in June 2018, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in August 2020, Security+ from CompTIA in October 2017, Texas Principal Certification from the Texas Education Agency, and Texas Teacher Certification from the Texas Education Agency.
