Colin Hughes

Colin Hughes has extensive work experience in technology and systems administration. Colin currently works as a Senior Storage Administrator at Confluence, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at OANDA as a Senior Storage Administrator from October 2013 to March 2021, where they focused on Netapp Clustered Ontap design, implementation, and administration. Colin also had experience with Brocade fabric environment, EMC VNX series, and VNXe series.

Before OANDA, Colin worked at TELUS as a Technology Specialist from April 2013 to September 2013. Colin also has experience as an Enterprise Storage Administrator at BlackBerry from July 2008 to February 2013. Colin's earlier work includes a role as a UNIX Analyst (contract) at Hewlett-Packard from January 2006 to June 2008, where they provided 3rd level support for HP-UX managed services clients.

Colin's work experience also includes a position as a Systems Administrator at The State Group Inc. from May 2001 to January 2004, where they handled systems administration tasks for Solaris, NT, and Exchange environments. Additionally, they worked as a Systems Administrator at HHSC from February 1997 to May 2001, providing administration, project design, implementation, and mentoring for junior administrators. Colin's earliest known role was as a Systems Administrator at AECL in 1993.

Colin Hughes obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from McMaster University in 1993.
