Adi Polak is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Director of Advocacy and Developer Experience Engineering at Confluent, where the focus is on enhancing the developer experience for Data Streaming applications. In addition, Adi is an author and instructor at O'Reilly Media, known for the bestselling book "Scaling Machine Learning w/Spark." Previously, Adi held significant roles including VP of Developer Experience Engineering at Treeverse, which saw a 400% increase in lakeFS deployments, and Engineering Manager in Developer Relations at Microsoft. With early career experience at Akamai Technologies and Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs, Adi combines a robust background in software engineering and machine learning, supported by academic qualifications from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Software and Information System Engineering.
