Hakan Hacigumus

Hakan Hacigumus is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and data analytics infrastructure. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Confluent, Hakan previously held significant roles at Meta as the Head of Data Analytics Infrastructure and at Google as Senior Director of Engineering. Prior positions include Head of Data Management at NEC Labs and Research Scientist and Software Engineer/Researcher at IBM Research. Hakan Hacigumus earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Irvine and completed education at Harvard Business School.
