Jamie Grier

Jamie Grier is a highly experienced engineering professional with a focus on stream processing and cloud-based systems. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Confluent since November 2021, Jamie leads the stream processing group. Prior roles include Senior Principal Software Engineer at Splunk, where responsibilities encompassed technical design and engineering leadership for the Stream Processing Service, and Senior Staff Software Engineer at Lyft, where Jamie was instrumental in founding the Streaming Platform Team based on Apache Flink. Additional experience includes positions at Data Artisans, Twitter, Gnip, and Boulder Imaging, where Jamie demonstrated strong technical leadership and architectural expertise. Jamie holds a degree from Colorado State University, completed between 1996 and 1999.
