Matt Armstrong

Matt Armstrong is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in engineering and architecture across various companies. Currently serving as Director of Cloud Architecture and Reliability at Confluent, Matt has previously held significant roles such as Senior Director of Engineering at Lacework, where leadership was provided for data platform, policy engine, and security application teams. At Nutanix, Matt was Senior Director of Engineering, overseeing the AIOps solution, Nutanix Insights. Other notable positions include Head of Engineering at SS8 Networks, leading the lawful intercept platform, and Director of Engineering at Nimble Storage, where the InfoSight cloud analytics platform was developed. Matt’s career began at IBM, where multiple roles in software development and engineering were held. Matt holds an MA in Economics from San José State University.
