Stephen Dowd

Stephen Dowd has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Stephen currently serves as the Chief Business Officer at Confo Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on developing breakthrough medicines for endocrine and metabolic diseases. Prior to this, they worked at Rallybio as the Head of Business Development, Europe, where they played a crucial role in building a sustainable pipeline of product candidates for rare diseases. Stephen also held senior positions at Kymab Ltd, a Sanofi company, where they were involved in business development for their pipeline of human monoclonal antibody therapeutics. Stephen has also worked as a consultant for SNIPR Biome, a leading CRISPR and microbiome company. Stephen Dowd has an extensive education history. In 1991, they obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from Newcastle University. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Dundee from 1994 to 1998. In 2010 and 2011, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they completed an MBA with a concentration in Strategy & Marketing Consulting.
