Bob Vaughan

Bob Vaughan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Bob is currently the Head of Information Science at Congenica since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of Data at Congenica from November 2020 to July 2022. Before joining Congenica, Bob worked at Owlstone Medical as the Head of Information Science from September 2020 to November 2020. Bob also held positions as the Head of Data Science & Data Management from August 2020 to September 2020, and as the Head of Data Management from April 2019 to August 2020. Bob's earlier experience includes working at Syngenta where they served as the Informatics Lead from April 2018 to April 2019, and as the Scientific Computing Lead from December 2015 to March 2018. Bob also worked as a Data Science & Analytics Specialist from March 2013 to November 2015, and as a Post-doctoral Scientist from September 2011 to February 2013. In the beginning of their career, Bob worked at EMBL-EBI as the ENA Curation Co-ordinator from 2007 to February 2011, and as a Curator from 2001 to 2006.

Bob Vaughan has a strong educational background in the field of biology and bioinformatics. Bob obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Glasgow, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Research degree in Bioinformatics at the same university from 1999 to 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Bob has also obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. Bob received the AgilePM® Foundation certification from APMG International in October 2018. Earlier, in January 2015, they earned the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, they hold an ORCID certification from ORCID, although the details regarding its date of acquisition are not provided.
