Rand Dubis has a diverse work experience in the field of genetics and data science. Rand started their career at Source BioScience as a Sequencing Scientist from January 2007 to March 2009. Rand then worked as a Research Assistant at King's College London from 2009 to 2012. Next, they joined University College London as a Molecular Biology Technician from 2012 to 2013, followed by a role as a Research Technician from June 2013 to October 2014. Rand then transitioned to Kelly | Scientific Resources where they served as a Recruitment Consultant from November 2014 to September 2015. Rand then joined St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Genetic Technologist from October 2015 to September 2017. Currently, Rand is working at Congenica as a Genetic Technologist, starting from October 2017. In their current position, they have held various roles, including the development of a new Next Generation Sequencing assay to improve the diagnosis of prenatal genetic conditions and the analysis of patient DNA samples using Illumina NGS platform to ISO 15189 quality standards.

Rand Dubis earned a Master's degree in Data Science from the University of London in 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science from the same university between 2020 and 2022. In 2006, they graduated from Lund University with a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology.
