David Lyon is a seasoned Rabbi with extensive experience in leadership roles within the Jewish community. Currently serving as the Senior Rabbi at Congregation Beth Israel since June 2004, David previously held the position of Rabbi at Temple Shalom from June 2000 to May 2004. David's academic background includes a M.A./Ordination in Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, earned between 1985 and 1990, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Arizona, obtained from 1981 to 1984. In recognition of contributions to the field, David received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion-Cincinnati.
