Natalie Matus

Natalie Matus has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Natalie currently serves as the President of Congregation Beth Israel from November 2021. In addition, they hold the role of Vice President at the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires since June 2021.

Prior to these positions, Natalie held various roles at different organizations. Natalie worked at Miss Hall's School from July 2017 to June 2021, where they served as the Director of Alumnae & Family Engagement and previously as the Director of Leadership Development. From June 2011 to June 2017, they were the Associate Head for Institutional Advancement at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston. Additionally, Natalie had their own business, Matus Development & Marketing Associates, as its Principal in 2011.

Before entering the education sector, Natalie worked as the Chief Development Officer at Jewish Family & Children's Service from September 2009 to January 2011. Prior to that, they had an extensive tenure at Concord Academy, where they served as the Major and Planned Giving Officer and later as the Director of Annual Giving.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Senior Gifts Officer at Simmons School of Management from January 1999 to October 2003. Natalie also worked in a senior corporate sponsorship role at Simmons College from 1998 to 2003. Natalie began their career as a Senior Social Worker at Jewish Family & Children's Service of Boston from 1975 to 1980, providing comprehensive human services to various individuals and groups.

Natalie Matus pursued their education in a chronological manner. Natalie completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brown University from 1969 to 1973. Later, from 1973 to 1975, they attended Simmons College School of Social Work, and earned a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on Social Work. Finally, they enrolled at Simmons College School of Management and obtained an MBA degree between 1984 and 1986.
