Alexa Asher

Alexa Asher has extensive experience in program development, community engagement, and communications. Currently serving as the Director of Programs at Congregation Emanu-El of San Francisco since April 2022, Alexa has crafted meaningful programming for over 1800 families. Previously, Alexa was the Social Media Editor for The Journal of Holocaust Research from June 2018 to November 2021, overseeing online presence and administrative duties. Additionally, as the Communications & Internship Coordinator for The Weiss-Livnat International MA Program in Holocaust Studies, Alexa generated content for digital platforms and facilitated various events. Early career experience includes being an Executive Sales Management Trainee at Bloomingdale's, focusing on retail sales management. Alexa holds a Master’s Degree in Holocaust and Related Studies from the University of Haifa and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Reichman University.
