Founded in 1845 as the first Reform Jewish Congregation in New York City, Temple Emanu-El is among the largest Jewish Houses of Worship in the world. We continue to build upon the legacy of leadership and the timeless values of Jewish tradition as we strive toward a more just, ethical and compassionate world.  Temple Emanu-El offers a robust religious school program for children of all ages, a first-rate nursery school, the Bernard Museum of Judaica, the Stettenheim Library, a range of community events through the Streicker Center, and more.   In addition, our Tikkun Olam Committee and Philanthropic Fund support a wide range of humanitarian, educational, and cultural causes, as well as initiatives that advance Reform Judaism and strengthen our connection to Israel.

The Education and Learning team at Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York is responsible for developing and implementing educational programs for all age groups within the community. This includes overseeing the religious school, nursery school, and adult learning initiatives. The team also supports the clergy in providing educational resources and events, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Jewish traditions and values.
