Joseph Fahy

Joseph Fahy is an experienced security professional currently serving as the Director of Security for Congregation Rodeph Sholom since August 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing safety measures for the synagogue and its associated institutions. Prior to this role, Joseph worked as the Chief of Security for the Smithsonian Institution, focusing on asset protection and risk management from September 2014 to December 2021. Joseph has held significant roles in various organizations, including Senior Security Manager at Chameleon Associates, where management of security training and performance testing was key, and Contract Specialist at DCMA, dealing with federal government contracts. Previous experience also includes Assistant Director of Public Safety and Security at Teachers College, Columbia University, and serving as a Lieutenant in the NYPD, with a focus on crime strategy and analysis.
