Leonardo Mendoza

Leonardo Mendoza has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Leonardo started their career as a Business Analyst Intern at Overseas Products & Spices Corp. in 2018, where they analyzed import and export data. In 2019, they worked as a Marketing Campaign Manager at Partido Morado and as a Digital Marketing Intern at Towers Advertising, creating bilingual content and organizing marketing events. Leonardo also had their own business, ClientPie Marketing, where they offered marketing services to over 15 businesses.

In 2020, Mendoza gained experience as an Economic Analyst Intern at the Association of Industry Analytics, creating economic reports and whitepapers. In 2021, they worked at the City of Houston as an Office of the City Controller Intern, assisting with economic research and volunteering in food insecurity. Leonardo also worked at the University of Houston's Social Economy and Enterprise Academy, connecting students with nonprofit organizations.

In the same year, Mendoza joined Predictive Data Lab as a Junior Analyst, helping clients with marketing strategies and research. Currently, they are working at the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant for the office of Rep. Ritchie Torres, managing a diverse portfolio of health, small business, and social issues. Leonardo is also involved in the Congressional Hispanic Staff Association as the Social Events Director.

Leonardo Mendoza completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at the University of Houston in 2021. From 2022 to 2025, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Policy Analysis at Georgetown University. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as the Wharton Public Policy Certificate from Badgr (now part of Instructure) in 2022, Power BI Basics Training Certificate from the Association of Industry Analytics in 2020, Tableau Basics Training Certificate from the Association of Industry Analytics in 2020, and became a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi in April 2021.
