Peter Hong

Founder and President, Peter Hong started working for his father in the gasoline business as a teenager, learning the business from the ground up, holding every position from Cashier to General Manager and now President. He purchased his first Shell station in 1989 and Conico Oil Company was born.

Over the years, the company has grown to gain relevant industry experience in buying and selling stations, converting bay operations into convenience stores, adding car washes, and building ground-up new locations. Conico also operates as a Wholesale Fuel Distributor for both the Shell Brand and unbranded fuels and runs its own transportation company for delivering these fuels with fuel sales in excess of 400 million gallons annually

Conico is a consistent winner of Shell awards for retail and wholesale operations as pertains to an image, customer service, and volume growth.

Today Conico has the capability of offering and distributing the Shell brand throughout the greater Los Angeles area, including the counties of Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara.
