Andrea Miotti has a diverse work experience that spans from 2016 to the present. They most recently worked at Conjecture as the Head of Strategy and Governance starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Consultant and Junior Consultant in Technology Policy at BCW Brussels from September 2021 to June 2022.
Before BCW Brussels, Andrea was the Economics and Asia Editor at Election Day from February 2019 to April 2021. In this role, they reported on economic news, wrote analysis articles on political and economic issues from Asia, and covered elections and referendums in the region.
Andrea also worked at the United Nations ESCAP as a Research Assistant in Trade, Investment, and Innovation Policy from June 2017 to August 2017. In this role, they wrote two papers on trade flows and relations in Asia's Least Developed Countries, conducted research for the Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Report, and managed and updated the Asia Pacific Trade and Investment Database.
Prior to that, Andrea worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for African Studies in 2016. In this role, they conducted research on Chinese political and economic influence in Africa and adapted and translated articles and the Centre's website from Italian to English.
Andrea Miotti's education history begins in 2010 when they attended Liceo Classico Vincenzo Gioberti in Torino, Italy, where they completed their high school education. In 2015, Andrea then went on to the University of Nottingham and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Politics and International Relations. Following this, in 2016, they participated in an exchange program at The University of Hong Kong, specifically in the Department of Politics and Public Administration, focusing on International Relations and Affairs. In 2018, Andrea enrolled in National Taiwan University, where they pursued a Chinese Language Division degree.
In 2019, Andrea pursued a double master's degree program, splitting their time between The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Peking University. They obtained a double master's degree in Public Policy. Additionally, during this period, Andrea acquired a Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) certification with an A grade from Cambridge English Language Assessment. They also obtained a Diplôme d'études en langue française (DELF) B2 certification with an A grade (over 80%) from the French Ministry of National Education in 2014.
