Saeed Merza

Saeed Merza, PhD, is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at CONMED Corporation since September 2021 and has also been a Mechanical Engineer at Volumetrix since 2014, focusing on connecting amputees in third world countries with global engineers and clinicians through 3D scanning and fabrication. Previously, Saeed held positions as Senior Mechanical Engineer II at Raytheon, leading mechanical engineering efforts for emerging programs, and at Olympus Corporation of the Americas as a Senior Product Development Engineer involved in the design and management of ENT products. Saeed's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, where research involved developing miniaturized underwater vehicles and robotics for biological research. Additional experience includes consultancy in linguistics and a role as a rental agent at Alamo National Rent a Car, where a sales tracking application was created to support sales staff.
