Brent Trinier, BSc., P. Eng.

Brent Trinier is a professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree who has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Brent has held various senior production engineering roles throughout their career.

From 2005 to 2013, Brent worked at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation as a Senior Production Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for international and onshore USA assets. Brent also served as a project lead, managing the development, construction, and startup of a $90 million Coalbed Methane project in Wyoming. Brent demonstrated their project management skills by overseeing materials scope and procurement, coordinating with field construction, and implementing artificial lift equipment for the 126 well field.

In 2013, Brent joined MEG Energy Corp. as a Senior Production Engineer. Brent managed the production and steam injection for multiple Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) pads simultaneously. Additionally, Brent played a key role in achieving exceptional production growth from 30,000 to 100,000 barrels of oil per day within seven years. Brent coordinated the development of multiple SAGD pads and infill well projects, overseeing all phases from idea to startup.

Following their time at MEG Energy Corp., Brent joined Islander Oil & Gas in 2021 as a Senior Production Engineer. Their responsibilities included production engineering and managing single well battery facilities. Brent successfully increased production rates by over 2 times while working on the Pekisko formation play. Additionally, they evaluated and managed the company's Operating Expense budget, identifying opportunities to decrease expenses by over 7%.

Most recently, Brent joined Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd in 2022 as the Production Engineering Manager.

Brent Trinier, BSc., P. Eng. obtained a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) from 2001 to 2003. Brent then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Technological University from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, they have acquired several additional certifications. In 2021, they completed the "Lead Like a Boss" course from LinkedIn, the "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" course from LinkedIn, the "Building Resilience" course from LinkedIn, and the "Authentication Standard Course for APEGA Members" from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
