Connacht Rugby is an Irish professional rugby union team based in The Sportsground, Galway that competes in the United Rugby Championship & European Challenge Cup competitions.  Connacht is one of four provinces in Ireland playing professional rugby. 

The Connacht Rugby Academy is also based here where young elite players are coached with the intention of breaking into the professional squad.

The Rugby Team at Connacht Rugby consists of both male and female professional players, including senior women's rugby players. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and European Challenge Cup, representing one of Ireland's four provinces. Their main responsibilities include rigorous training, participating in high-level competitions, and contributing to the development and success of the team.
