Jim Downs is the CEO of Connamara Systems and Connamara Technologies, where they focus on trading systems development and building exchanges, respectively. They have been with Connamara Systems since 1998, bridging the gap between buy and build for top-tier trading companies. Prior to this, Jim owned Downs Capital and served as an independent market maker at the CBOE from 1981 to 1998. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Purdue University, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. In addition to their professional pursuits, Jim is also an avid rower, former member of the CBOT and CBOE, humanitarian, and illusionist.
