Amer Akhtar

Amer Akhtar has extensive work experience in the field of network engineering and technical support. Amer started their career in 1998 at CompuCom as a Technical Support Analyst. Amer then joined Comcast in 2000 as a Systems Engineer and gradually moved up to become the Team Lead for the Systems Engineer team. At Comcast, they also took on the role of Network IP Engineer, where they were responsible for managing customer IP space and monitoring daily growth trends and maintenance activities. In 2016, Amer joined Connect America as a Senior Network Engineer, and later became the Director of Enterprise Network in February 2018, a position they currently hold.

Amer Akhtar has a strong educational background in the field of technology and engineering. Amer obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, from 1985 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Systems Software and Hardware from the Computer Training Center in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 1992 to 1993.

Later, Amer Akhtar pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Science from Penn State Great Valley, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Apart from their formal education, Amer holds several certifications in the field of technology. These include being a Cisco Certified Network Associate and Cisco Certified Network Professional, obtained in July 2013. Amer also holds certifications such as A+ Certified from CompTIA, and Microsoft certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and Microsoft Certified Professional. Additionally, Amer is a Certified Novell Administrator, acquired in July 1998.
