Surendra Chaturvedi

Surendra Chaturvedi has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Surendra currently holds the position of Sr. Director, Head of Quality and Regulatory CMC at Connect Biopharma since April 2022.

Before their current position, Surendra worked at Gilead Sciences from 2015 to 2022, where they held various roles including Associate Director, Senior Manager, and Director of Commercial Quality Assurance.

Prior to Gilead Sciences, Surendra worked at Pharmasol Corporation as the Director of Quality from 2013 to 2015. Here, they were responsible for supporting pre-clinical, clinical, and marketed products, as well as representing quality during regulatory audits.

Surendra also had experience at T2 Biosystems, where they served as the Director of Process Development and Quality Control from 2012 to 2013. In this role, they focused on improving process robustness based on quality risk-based approaches, authoring FMEAs, and auditing CMOs.

From 2003 to 2012, Surendra was the Director of Regulatory Sciences and QA at PrimeSyn Lab Inc. Surendra'sresponsibilities included managing QA/regulatory activities, writing CMC sections for various applications, and registering PrimeSyn Lab with the FDA.

Surendra worked at Orchid Bioscience Inc. from 2000 to 2002 as an Associate Director. Surendra'srole involved developing a novel methodology, transferring operations, and directing the chemical synthesis effort.

Prior to that, Surendra worked at Applied Biosystem from 1997 to 2000 as a Research Scientist III/Group Leader. Surendra was responsible for directing research efforts, managing projects, and developing analytical methods.

Before joining Applied Biosystem, Surendra worked at Chemsyn Science Laboratories as a Scientist from 1996 to 1997. In this role, they were involved in analytical method development and validation, as well as process development for several small molecules.

Surendra began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Northwestern University from 1993 to 1995. Here, they conducted research on organic syntheses, incorporating them into DNA and evaluating their properties.

Surendra Chaturvedi pursued their education in the field of Chemistry. Surendra obtained their Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Mumbai, where they studied from 1981 to 1983. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry at the University of Oklahoma, completing their studies between 1988 and 1992.
