Kim Winther

Director & Senior Business Developer at CONNECT Denmark

Kim Winther has had a long and varied career in the business world. Kim began in 1989 as a Marketing and Sales representative for Alm. Brand, where they established a telemarketing organization and trained 20 supervisors and 220 telemarketing assistants. In 1996, they moved to GE Capital as a Marketing Director, where they were a member of the national management team and responsible for the Marketing Department, direct sales, and the development and implementation of an Internet Portal. In 2000, Kim Winther founded Vitao ApS, a leading provider of health risk assessments and motivation analysis. Kim then moved to PreviaSundhed A/S in 2009 as Head of Online Services, where they worked to make health a strategic tool. In 2011, they co-founded The Oak Men, a Scandinavian cabinet making company. In 2012, Kim Winther became a Board Member of Danske Madanmeldere/Danish Food Critics, and also became Director and Senior Business Developer for CONNECT Denmark, an independent non-profit organization providing free advice and coaching to entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Kim Winther began their education in 1981, when they attended Dronninglund Gymnasium. Kim then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 1987-1988, where they earned a BBA in Marketing Management. In 1986, they began attending Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they earned their BBA in Economics in 1989. From 1991-1993, they attended Copenhagen Business School, where they earned their MBA in Science/Marketing/Org. In 1998, they returned to GE University, where they earned a Six Sigma Black Belt in Project & Process Management. Kim returned to GE University once again in 1999 to earn their Delta Leadership in Leadership Management & CAP. Finally, in 2014, they attended Erhvervsakademi Aarhus | Business Academy Aarhus, where they earned a Bestyrelsesansvar in Bestyrelsesuddannelse.
