Allen Xiao

Allen Xiao currently serves as President of the Australian Medical Students' Association, providing executive leadership for the organization's mandate to connect and represent 18,500 medical students across Australia. In addition, Allen has been a Lecturer at Connect Education since October 2019 and previously worked as an EMR Project Support Officer at Northern Health, focusing on the rollout of Electronic Medical Records. Allen held key leadership roles at the University of Melbourne Student Union, including General Secretary, where governance and policy development were prioritized for a $9 million organization, and Welfare Officer, where support services for students were expanded during the pandemic. Allen is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Melbourne, building on a Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine with a concentration in Neuroscience and a Diploma in German Studies.
