Bill Schwartz has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and software development. Bill has held various leadership roles in different organizations. From 1998 to 2007, Bill worked as a Senior Consultant, Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, and Managing Consultant for Idea Integration, iXL Inc., Qwest, CMIT Solutions, and EBIZ Machine. During this time, they gained extensive experience in software engineering, system development, and eCommerce platform integration.

In 2007, Bill joined Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and served as the Senior Web Developer, Sr. Director of ITS Business Operations, and Director of Epic Application Management Services. Bill played a crucial role in restructuring the CHI Epic integrated EHR software support program and managing the in-house relationship management and third-party support staff.

In 2015, Bill joined Children's Hospital Colorado as the Director of Clinical Application Services. Bill led a team of managers and analysts to deliver implementation, support, training, and analytics IT services. In 2016, they were promoted to Interim Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where they supported the technology needs of the hospital system.

After graduating from high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Management at the University of Michigan from 1977 to 1981.

Seeking further education, Bill enrolled at The Ohio State University from 1981 to 1985. During this period, they pursued a joint Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business Management and Business Law. After completing their studies at Ohio State, Bill further expanded their academic qualifications by attending the University of Colorado Boulder from 1988 to 1992. Here, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Software Engineering (BSEE) degree.

In addition to their formal education, Bill has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 1986, they became licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio, although they are currently inactive. Bill also holds a Java Certified Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider certification from Microsoft, both obtained in 1999. In 2013, Bill obtained an ITIL v3 Foundations Certified certification.

More recently, they have pursued certifications in the field of data science and analysis. In 2014, Bill obtained the EpicCare Ambulatory certification from Epic Systems Corporation. In 2015, they became a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) through HIMSS. Bill's data analysis skills were further honed with certifications in Python data analysis, including the Data Analyst in Python Path from Dataquest.io in 2020 and the Python Data Engineer Path, also from Dataquest.io, in the same year.
