Jakob Fokdal Filippson

Jakob Fokdal Filippson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jakob started their career as a Co-Founder and Developer at startup OroClean from 2009 to 2011. Jakob then worked as an Intern at The Confederation of Danish Industry, where they conducted a study on leveraging regulation for fostering innovation in companies. In 2013, they joined Radiometer as an Industrial PhD, focusing on the challenges of interfaces in product development.

In 2015, Jakob had multiple roles. Jakob served as a Guest Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at MIT for a course on Product Platforms and Family Design. Jakob also co-founded and developed PaprNote, a social game and medium for connecting with friends. Additionally, they joined Connected Cars in 2016, starting as a Business Developer before progressing to Product Lead and Head of Product roles. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Product at Connected Cars, starting in June 2021.

Jakob Fokdal Filippson started their education journey in 2006 at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Design & Innovation. Jakob completed this degree in 2012. In 2009, Jakob Fokdal Filippson went on an exchange program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they focused on Product Design & Innovation. This exchange program lasted until 2010.

Jakob then returned to DTU - Technical University of Denmark to further their education. From 2013 to 2016, Jakob Fokdal Filippson pursued an Industrial PhD degree in Engineering Design. During this period, they conducted in-depth research on engineering design principles and practices.

In 2014 and 2015, Jakob Fokdal Filippson joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for professional education. Jakob completed the MIT Professional Education program, specializing in Systems Engineering, Platforming, and Architecting.
