Jim Mainard

Jim Mainard is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience across various sectors, currently serving as a Member of the AI Governance Alliance at the World Economic Forum. As CTO and EVP of Deep Technologies at XPRIZE, Mainard oversees operational technology and spearheads prize development in cutting-edge fields such as AI/ML and quantum computing. Additional roles include Non-Executive Director at Primis, Advisory Board Member at Mitra Bio, and Co-Founder & Executive Board Member at Connected Travel, LLC. Previous leadership positions include President of the Global Technology Acceleration Hub at Shiseido Americas Corporation and EVP of Digital Strategy & New Business Development at DreamWorks Animation. Mainard co-founded the Advanced Imaging Society and has contributed to significant advancements in digital and consumer technology throughout a career that began with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
