Cesar Igor Mesia is a highly experienced pediatric cardiologist with a medical career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Connecticut Children's since May 2021, Cesar previously worked at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children from 2004 to 2020. Prior to that, the role of Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist was held at Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 1999 to 2004. Cesar completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Pediatrics Residency Program at The University of Texas Medical Branch. The medical education was completed at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Early education was received at Hans Christian Andersen, spanning elementary, middle, and high school.
