Liza Andrews is a seasoned professional in public policy and communications, currently serving as the Director of Public Policy & Communications at the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence since September 2012. Prior to this role, Liza held the position of Public Policy Director at the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits from February 2008 to August 2012 and worked as a Legislative Aide at the Connecticut General Assembly from September 2005 to January 2008. Liza's academic background includes a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Connecticut, obtained between 2003 and 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the same institution, completed in 2001.

Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) is Connecticut’s leading voice for victims of domestic violence and those organizations that serve them. We are a member organization of Connecticut’s 18 domestic violence service organizations that provide critical safety and support to victims across the state of Connecticut. Founded in 1978, CCADV works with our membership to understand and respond to the ongoing needs of domestic violence survivors and their families and to create social change through a variety of initiatives. CCADV leads on public policy advocacy, technical assistance, prevention, and public awareness. Some of our specific project and initiatives include diversity & accessibility, health professional outreach, lethality assessment, domestic violence fatality review, and legal advocacy, among others We also partner with the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center as part of our Children’s Center on Family Violence (CCFV). CCFV aims to reduce the impact of family violence on children through a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary, multi-agency approach.
