Janet Spoltore

Janet Spoltore serves as the Director of Student Counseling and Health Services at Connecticut College since 2001, where responsibilities include administration, grant writing, budget management, supervision, and counseling. Previously, Janet held the role of Director of Student Counseling Services, and has extensive experience in the mental health field, including positions as Past President of the International Association of Counseling Services and Administrative Director at Middlesex Hospital's Center for Behavioral Health. Janet's prior roles include working as a psychologist at Kaiser Permanente and Tufts-New England Medical Center, as well as leadership positions at the Brockton/West Roxbury Veterans Administration Medical Center. Janet holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi, and advanced degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University, the University of Delaware, and training at Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center.
