Nakia Hamlett

Dean of Institutional Equity & Inclusion & William Meredith Assistant Professor of Psychology at Connecticut College

Nakia Hamlett, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and leader with extensive experience in psychology and education. Currently serving as a Team Facilitator at the Yale School of Management since September 2022, Nakia also holds the position of CEO and Founder of Complex Psychology, established in February 2021. In addition, Nakia is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine and has been promoting faculty equity, inclusion, and belonging at Connecticut College since July 2017, where Nakia also works as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. Notably, Nakia held various roles at Yale University School of Medicine from 2009 to 2017, including Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor. Holding a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany and a Master's in Education from the University of Maryland, Nakia is dedicated to advancing equity and clinical practice in the field.
