Brett Pickerign has extensive experience in education and law, currently serving as a Uniserv Representative at the Connecticut Education Association since July 2013. Prior to this role, Brett worked as a Uniserv Director at the Wisconsin Education Association Council from October 2000 to June 2013 and as Staff Counsel at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards from August 1999 to September 2000. Additional experience includes serving as Program Director at the Close Up Foundation and as a Specialist (Russian Linguist) in the US Army. Brett holds a Master of Education Law and a Doctor of Law degree from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Further linguistic training was completed at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, focusing on Russian.
