Mehul Dalal MD MSc serves as the Chief Policy Advisor for the Connecticut Department of Social Services, contributing to the development of health and human services policy for over 1 million beneficiaries. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Health Foundation and the Principal and Owner of Health Design Strategies LLC, Dalal focuses on strategies for chronic disease prevention and control. Additionally, Dalal holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine and has previously served as Community Services Administrator for the City of New Haven. In prior roles, Dalal has led initiatives as Past President of the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, Co-Chair of Quality Metrics Council for the Connecticut State Innovation Model, and Chronic Disease Director for the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Educational background includes MHS in Health Services Research from Yale School of Medicine, MD and MSc in Medicine and Community Medicine from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and B.Sc. in Neuroscience from Brown University.
